2012 in review

This week is the week for the Beebe church of Christ VBS.  So if you’re looking to pack the kids off somewhere for an hour and a half or so, we start at 7:00 pm.  It’s a fun superhero theme this year.  Of course it isn’t just for kids.  One neat thing that we do is offer some really interesting classes for adults.  Tonight’s was a great talk on Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.  Although, if you can’t make it to the live version, we will have the lessons posted on our website.  Look under sermons.

It’s that happiest time of year again for gamers.  The Electronic Entertainment Expo where tons of new games and consoles are announced is going on right now.   Of course as a Nintendo guy, I’m very interested in the Wii U, their HD successor to the Wii complete with touch-screen controller.  Although I have to admit that nothing has really blown me away so far except for a kind of cool looking survival horror game called ZombiU.  And I’m certainly very interested in Resident Evil 6 and Assassin’s Creed III.  The game I’ve been most impressed with, however, is Playstation exclusive The Last of Us.

That looks awesome.  Not “I need to buy a Playstation 3 now” awesome, but awesome nonetheless.
