Forgive me, Uncle Sam, for I have sinned. I drove by the church today and felt a deep stab of shame when I saw the sign.

I didn’t stop. I didn’t vote. I just looked at the sign and drove down the road.
But that’s not the worst part.
I have no idea what those people inside were voting on.
Were there local elections? State? Federal? Was there an amendment to vote on? I don’t know, although I am reasonably sure it wasn’t a presidential election despite the intensity of Republican campaigning.
I guess I’ll have to wait until I read next week’s Beebe News to find out what I missed.
It was an extension of a bond program that helps fund highway repairs. It passed. Uncle Sam won’t hold it against you.
We got to vote on what constitutes a person. I’m sure it makes everyone comfortable to know that the people of Mississippi, of all places, is deciding that for them.
They have such a great tract record of making that choice wisely. Although they do seem to consistently take their stand with ‘not a human’.
