I hope everyone is getting to do the same thing I’ve been doing today, and that is everything in my power to not live up to the name of the holiday. I’ll admit that I did go outside and try to dig up a half-dead bush from beside our house, but the shovel snapped in half as if a sign from the ghosts of labor day past. So I came back in and watched some more tennis.
Wikipedia has this to say about Labor Day:
Labor Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the first Monday in September (September 5 in 2011) that celebrates the economic and social contributions of workers.
